Spencer Sigalow is junior in ILR, minoring in Business Law and Society and Jewish studies. From Palm City, Florida, Spencer inherited his CornellRadio.com show, "Gettin' Siggy Wit' It" from his older brother, Ian Sigalow '16. Playing a mixture of jam band and rap music, Spencer keeps his listeners engaged with interviews, music requests, and games. "I try to have fun and be very interactive with people who are listening."

Blending jam bands with rap is a unique feat, but Spencer bridges the gap with ease, interspersing conversation between his music picks. "I would rarely transition from a six minute Phish jam to a new Kanye song. I think because that's the music I like listening to, I try to make it more eclectic than just a jam band show or just a rap show" he says. His careful work bridging the sounds has paid off, as he's even turned friends into Deadheads. "One of my best friends was texting me last night. He'd never listened to the Grateful Dead or any jam bands before until I introduced him to it and now he's a diehard fan... I think that means I'm doing a good job if more people are listening."
Spencer is incredibly involved on campus, as a member of Sigma Alpha Mu, Cornell Strategic Consulting, Student Activities Funding Commission, Class of 2019 Convocation Committee, and The Cornell Daily Sun. Balancing all of his other commitments is easy for Spencer. He sees CornellRadio.com as a time for him to relax."This is me coming in... and playing music for my friends."
